The outlaws of the Oklahoma Territory tell their own stories as each 19th century badman shows how he got his start and how he was brought to justice by Will Foreman. During the first season Will Foreman was a Deputy Marshal working for Marshal Frank Caine. Jock Gaynor played Deputy Marshal Heck Martin for nine episodes and then Wynn Pearce, as Deputy Marshal Steve Corbie, joined the crew. At the start of the second season, Will Foreman returned as Marshal with a whole new cast of characters, and Frank Caine was written out of the scripts by making him the Governor.

10. The Quiet Killer
Marshal Tom Doan brought many cattle rustlers to trial, but lost his respect for the law when juries failed to convict them. He finds a better way to bring the thieves to justice.

11. The Waiting Game
A gang of robbers holds up the Topeka bank and makes off with a huge haul. They plan to hide the money for a number of years before dividing it among themselves, and devise an ingenious way of preventing any one of them from getting the money ahead of time.

12. The Daltons Must Die, Part One
Five brothers, all deputy marshals, turn away from the law. The brothers are after a dangerous killer named Red Buck and his two sidekicks.

13. The Daltons Must Die, Part Two
Embittered because a jury has failed to convict their brother's killers, the four Daltons take the law into their own hands.

14. Assassin
One of Caine's deputies has been murdered, and the marshal goes on an all-out campaign against crime. He starts by closing down some of town boss McKinnon's more dubious establishments, and McKinnon retaliates by hiring Bill Joe Minden to kill Caine.

15. Culley
Caught in an ambush, Jeb Wood's son is murdered, and Jeb himself is blinded. The only witness, a young stranger named Culley, decides to take advantage of the wealthy old man by impersonating his son.

16. The Bill Doolin Story
When railroad interests force ranchers out of business, cowhand Bill Doolin takes up a gun and turns badman.

17. The Bell
Will Foreman, taking killer Neil Gwinner back to prison, is joined on the road by ex-convict Jim Houston. Gwinner offers Houston money to help him escape.

18. No More Pencils - No More Books
Red McCool's curriculum never included crime, but when he revisits his old schoolteacher Darius Woodley, he is a confirmed outlaw. Woodley enlivens his own bookish life by lying to a posse when they pursue his ex-student.

19. Blind Spot
Thirteen-year-old Davey's father has been killed by an outlaw known only as the Weasel. Gunman Frank Denton prepares the boy to avenge his father's murder.

20. Outrage at Pawnee Bend
A routine, and unsuccessful, holdup of the afternoon train occurs each time there is a money shipment. Sam and Joe, long-time railway employees, have had time to witness the flawless record of the Pickham Agency in preventing the attempted robberies. They have also had time to prepare a perfect theft themselves.

21. The Avenger
Sheriff Dodge is lynched by a band of desperadoes disguised as Confederate soldiers. His son Tommy searches for his father's murderers.

22. The Sooner
Into the quiet frontier lives of trapper Grigor Zacod and his wife Jane ride three Eastern badmen. They believe Zacod knows the hiding place of a former member of their gang who gave them the doublecross.

23. Sam Bass
In his dreams, young Sam Bass is an awesome guntoter, but in the Denton City Saloon, he just pushes a broom. Sam's social status suffers another setback when he inadvertently alerts a wanted gunman to the presence of the local sheriff, and the lawman is killed as a result.

24. The Brothers
When Jim Kelly kills a gambler in cold blood during a saloon card game, the other patrons become incensed and subject him to a savage beating. Will Foreman arrives, helps to rescue Kelly from his attackers, and places him under arrest.

25. The Little Colonel
Cass, Ben and Valdez are three bandits who escape across the Mexican border after robbing a train. Will Foreman and Frank Caine go after them in hot pursuit, only to be arrested by the fiery Mexican colonel.

26. Return to New March
The town of New March might be a ghost town before too long. The Great Plains Railroad is planning to bypass it and build a company town two miles away. Some irate citizens of New March kill a railroad employee, and Will Foreman, who was raised in the town, is assigned to investigate.

27. Chalk's Lot
Businessman Charlie Peal has his eye on a choice piece of land owned by Slim, and manages to cheat the old man out of it. Chalk talks Will Foreman into pulling a series of legal maneuvers to help Slim regain his land.

28. The Connie Masters Story
Connie Masters, employed by the Wells Fargo Bank, thinks her husband Jack is dead. But one day, Jack shows up and wants to make a deal. He will tell Connie the whereabouts of her long-lost son if she will help him rob the bank.

29. My Friend, the Horse Thief
Chalk Breeson's childhood friend, a cowboy called Whip, arrives in town. Everybody likes the newcomer, but Will Foreman, investigating a series of horse rustlings, finds that Whip has been near the scene of every crime.

30. The Cutups
Two city slickers called Willie and Skinner dupe Slim into committing a robbery by telling him that the whole scheme is a practical joke. But Slim isn't laughing when he finds himself in jail.

31. Night Riders
A man named Meder heads a band of hooded criminals who are terrorizing the town of Stillwater. When Slim stands up to the gang, Meder sends his mob out to get him.

32. The Brathwaite Brothers
Immediately after the Brathwaite Brothers, Silas, Perry, and Levi, deposit their life savings in the Stillwater Bank, the bank is robbed of everything except their money. When the boys are told they can't withdraw their deposit, they decide to pull a band robbery of their own.

33. Walk Tall
Young Jan Batory was born on the wrong side of the tracks, but he is determined to come up in the world by becoming a first-class thief.

34. Roly
A holdup man, carrying a large sum of money, dies on Roly Mcdonough's far. Rather than report the matter to the sheriff, Roly decides to spend the money on his wife.

35. No Luck on Friday
Everyone is positive that a certain payroll shipment is impossible to rob, everyone but crafty Leonard Lopez. He is sure he can pull it off, and chooses two very unlikely sorts to help him, dirt farmer Tom Sawyer and young Charlie Sondberg.

36. The Outlaw Marshals
Murder suspect Logan Henry is captured, and he begs Will Foreman to protect him. Marshals Root, Slater and Diamond threaten to use force if Logan isn't turned over to them.

37. Masterpiece
Bank owner Sam Porter doesn't like artist Martin Hall's portrait of him and he refused to pay for it. Hall and locksmith Jerry Rome try to think of a really good way to hurt Porter's feelings - like robbing his bank.

38. The Verdict
Wealthy Titus Holbrook's' son is killed in the theft of a money shipment. Will Foreman is called in to investigate the murder, and finds that his has one prime suspect in Chalk Breeson, his deputy.

39. The Dark Sunrise of Griff Kincaid
Blind Griff Kincaid comes to Stillwater to help the farmers, who are being exploited by a land syndicate. Griff wins the trust of most of the populace, but Will Foreman has some doubts about his motives.

40. The Bitter Swede
Sven Johannsen has one ambition in life: to remain a bachelor. Hulda Christianson, Sven's childhood sweetheart, has an equally powerful desire: to marry Sven. Will Foreman and Chalk Breeson watch as Hulda plots an all-out campaign to trap Sven.

41. Buck Breeson Rides Again
Chalk Breeson is delighted when his father, Buck, comes to Stillwater for a visit. But when Buck joins up with a gang of swindlers and tries to drag his son in as an accomplice, Chalk wishes daddy had stayed at home.

42. A Bit of Glory
An outlaw named Spangler has escaped the law and Sheriff Ned Danvers is determined to track him down. Danvers has a special interest in the case. The aging sheriff's re-election depends on capturing Spangler.

43. Horse of a Similar Color
Slim makes a deal with two Indians called Fair Child and Bloody Claw to trade several ponies for a fast horse they own. But the Indians have neglected to tell Slim just how unusual their horse is.

44. The Sisters
Ruth and Bridget Durant wander into town, looking worn and bedraggled, but loaded down with spending money. Will Foreman learns they are the daughters of outlaw Ed Durant, a man he has been after for a long time.

45. A Day to Kill
The Cuban ambassador is going to pass through Stillwater, and Will Foreman and Chalk Breeson are expected to guard him. Cuban refugees Carlos and Frank Vincente are planning a special greeting for the ambassador - the intend to assassinate him.

46. No More Horses
Ludlow Pratt introduces his latest invention, an automobile, to Stillwater. Morgan Mayberry sees great possibilities for Pratt's pride and joy as the get-away car for a bank job he is planning.

47. Ride the Man Down
Chalk Breeson's search for a fugitive criminal leads him to the town of Sanctuary. The place is aptly named. It is crawling with killers and thieves and there is no law enforcement.

48. Farewell Performance
Thomas Healy, head of a traveling Shakespearean troupe, arrives in Stillwater and talks Slim and Chalk Breeson into appearing in his show. This leaves only Will Foreman on duty.

49. Charge!
Three Cavalry sergeants named Ben Thompson, Frank Burling and Myles Ree are trotting along a few miles out of Stillwater when they chance upon some Indians. To the sergeants' dismay, these particular Redmen apparently are dead set against coexistence and have a Gattling gun.

50. All in a Day's Work
Keenan, a man Will Foreman sent to prison, is out on parole. Will Foreman learns that Keenan has vowed to hill him.
