Title List 1. Pilot The young riders are tutored by their wily supervisor, Teaspoon, and tested by a ruthless bandit. False Color Kid enjoys a reunion with his brother Jed, who seems to have found a niche in the Army, but is really leading a gang that is posing as cavalry to steal gold for the budding Confederacy. Good Day to Die Kid finds a young warrior at the scene of a way-station massacre, and although the warrior denies any wrongdoing, Kid hauls him back through Indian territory to face justice in Sweetwater. End of Innocence Hickok discovers hidden feelings for Emma on a venture to an Army outpost commanded by a captain with a passion for cruelty. Blind Love Hickok's heart is lassoed by a mysterious woman, but he is caught in a dangerous tangle when he discovers that she is bound to another man. Hard Time Kid is sentenced to hard time on a trumped-up charge by a small-town sheriff carrying out the policies of the sadistic man who keeps the town under a cloud of fear. Lady for a Night Dressed as a lady for a night, Lou meets a vicious brute who develops an obsession for her, while he masterminds a series of heists in the territory. Unfinished Business After surviving a massacre of wealthy settlers near Sal Lake, Emma's estranged husband arrives in Sweetwater looking for shelter from Emma, and raising the suspicions of Sam and the riders. Decoy On a wild ride to deliver a top-secret Government message, Cody helps a mortally wounded mountain man, who asks Cody to care for his pet bear. Daddy's Girl A new girl in town has Buck in her sights, but he is caught in the cross-fire between her, her tyrannical father and her cruel suitor. Bull Dog An Eastern college boy arrives with dreams of meeting his Western idol, Hickok, but he is used as an unwitting accomplice in a scheme that endangers all the riders. Man Behind the Badge Sam finds himself on the wrong side of the law in his own town when the man responsible for the murder of Sam's wife takes over Sweetwater. Blood Moon A cholera outbreak threatens Sweetwater, but fear among the townspeople may be a bigger problem than the spread of the deadly disease. Pride and Prejudice After guiding the cavalry to a Sioux camp, Buck returns to Sweetwater with a surprise for William Tompkins - his wife and daughter, who were seized years earlier but managed to live within the tribe. Requiem for a Hero Cody meets his Western idol Hezekiah Horn, a writer disguised by development of the West and disturbed by the violence and the Indian police. Bad Company Hickok accidentally kills an innocent woman during a gunfight, triggering troubling feelings about all his violent deeds. Star Light, Star Bright With Christmas approaching, the riders fall under the spell of a con man, who promises them a half share in a gold mine. The Play's the Thing A wide-eyed Cody joins a traveling acting troupe, unaware that its members are Confederates intent on assassinating General Fremont. Kansas A heated Noah heads into slave territory, where he stakes his life to help his old teacher. Meanwhile, Rachel tangles with a card sharp. Color Blind After the breakup, Kid is sweet on Sweetwater's new schoolteacher, who has brought many secrets to town. Meanwhile, Lou joins Hickok on a ride, and their friendship grows. Old Scores Ike is convinced he has seen one of the men responsible for the murder of his family, but the suspected killer is now a family man himself. The Exchange When Teaspoon arranged for the hanging of a bank robber, the man's brother kidnaps Teaspoon's would-be-daughter, precipitating a massive showdown. The Blood of Others Lou, Hickok and Kid are to deliver a long-sought outlaw to his hanging, but en route discover than the man's more honorable than ornery. Between Rock Creek and a Hard Place Noah tangles with an unlikable Army recruiter who winds up murdered, and Noah becomes the prime suspect. Mask of Fear Mob mentality grips Rock Creek after a Polish immigrant convicted of killing his wife is released from prison and returns to town. The Sacrifice Teaspoon and Hickok set out to restore order to a town besieged by outlaws, which also happens to be where Kid thinks he can spend some time with Lou.
